Kendra Whittle

Kendra Whittle joined the 14 News Team in November 2010 as a multi-media journalist.

Kendra knew she wanted to be some sort of writer her whole life, but the spark really hit her when at age 14, she made a mock newscast with her sister and her dad mentioned, "You know, you would be really good at that."

Her passion for stories continued into college at Illinois State University (go Redbirds!) where she earned her Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism. While at ISU, Kendra was very active in the daily live newscast TV-10, serving as an anchor, reporter, photographer, and sportscaster. She also took part in the award winning community events show "TC 24/7" as a reporter and host. As a junior, she achieved the "Outstanding Newcomer in Journalist" award.

After college, Kendra went on to WEEK/WHOI-TV in East Peoria, Illinois, but is now excited to be working for the Tri-State's News Leader!

When she's not working, Kendra enjoys cooking, swimming, shopping, and spending time with her wonderful family, friends and husband Stephen.
