Illinois statewide tornado drill Wednesday | Weather

As part of Severe Weather Awareness Week in Illinois, a tornado drill will be conducted at 10am on Wednesday.  This was rescheduled from Tuesday due to the winter storm moving through.

Several... but not all, communities will be testing their readiness for the season ahead by testing tornado sirens and many schools will be conducting tornado drills with students.

This year, Severe Weather Awareness Week in Illinois runs from March 3rd through the 9th.
