Albion hit 100 degrees on Thursday and it'll be just as hot if not hotter in Illinois this afternoon. There's a Heat Advisory for Clay, Richland, and Lawrence Counties from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Heat index 102 to 106 Southeast Illinois will have the hottest temps in the Tri-State. Fairfield, Albion, Lawrenceville and Clay City could hit all 100-degrees which would be close to a record high.
Evansville's record high is 102 set in 1953. I am forecasting a high of 99 today.
Storms could be heading our way later this weekend. Catch my forecast at 11 a.m. and stay with 14 News all weekend for the lastest weather information at 5, 6, 9 and 10 or online anytime here.
