WVC president one of 3 finalists at Lake Land College | People

Wabash Valley College President Matt Fowler is a finalist for the same position at Lake Land College in Mattoon.

The Lake Land College Board of Trustees on Tuesday announced the three finalists.  Fowler is one of three candidates will visit campus for a series of meetings and interviews the week of Feb. 25.

Prior to taking on this role in 2007, Fowler was the dean of instruction at WVC from 2003 to 2007 and a full-time faculty member from 1999 to 2003.  He has a doctoral degree from the University of Nebraska, a master’s in business administration from Morehead State University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Millikin University. 

Fowler will visit Lake Land on Wednesday, February 27.

Lake Land College Board Chairman Carl Hart said, “The board takes its role in selecting our next president very seriously, and we thank the presidential search advisory committee for its hard work in giving us strong candidates to consider.”

The next president of Lake Land College will succeed President Lensink who retires June 30.
