What happened to Ed Hataway? | News

Illinois State Police investigators are looking into the disappearance of an Olney man.

Family members have been wondering what happened to Ed Hataway.  They tell our media partner, WTHI-TV  they became concerned after Hataway missed a meeting with his landlord last week.  His truck and slippers were found in the parking lot and his apartment was unlocked with his cell phone inside.

Hataway’s family says they filed a report with police late last week but took matters into their own hands after growing frustrated with the pace of the investigation.

Anita Scott, the fiance’ of Hataway’s brother, said Ed Hataway is in generally good health and the family doesn’t believe he has the financial resources to run away. In the meantime, she encourages those with information on the case to speak out.
