Two hurt in crash on I-64 | News

A Bowling Green, KY man and his passenger were hurt Tuesday morning when the pickup truck they were in ran off the road and struck a guardrail east of Burnt Prairie in White County.

Illinois State Police say 67-year-old Lawrence Maddock Jr. told them he fell asleep at the wheel of his red 2008 Dodge Ram.

Both men were taken to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Maddock was cited for improper lane usage and on a wanted warrant.

His passenger, 61-year-old Terry L. Hughes, was cited for illegal transportation of alcohol and failure to wear a seat belt.
