State Police: Southern Illinois man hurt in DUI accident | News

A 38-year-old Pinckneyville man was seriously injured late Monday night in what Illinois State Police are calling a one-vehicle wreck caused by drunk driving.
According to the preliminary investigation, Warren K. White was driving a 2001 pickup truck southbound on IL Rte 34 at Drywall Lane in Saline County, when he drove off the right side of the roadway in to a ditch and struck a culvert before overturning.
White was transported by ambulance to Ferrell Hospital in Eldorado for treatment of injuries sustained in the traffic crash. He was later transferred to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville where he was reported to be in good condition as of Tuesday morning.
He has been charged with Driving Under the Influence.
