Six fire departments fight Saline Co. brush fire | News

SALINE CO., IL (WFIE)- Six fire departments responded to a large brush fire west of
Harrisburg on Monday afternoon.
Officials fought this large brush fire off of Lewis Road, approximately 2.5 miles
west of Harrisburg at 5:15 p.m.
Many firefighters were called to help assist with the blaze that was estimated to be over 100 acres of mainly grass
fields, but threatened corn and bean fields.
Saline County Sheriff's Office says that the fire was contained and all units cleared the scene at 7:30 p.m.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
