Suspicious death investigation in southern Illinois
LAWRENCE CO., IL (WFIE)- Authorities in Lawrence County, Illinois are calling a man's death suspicious.
Police officers in Lawrenceville were called to a cottage in Southern Meadows on the grounds of the United Methodist Village just before 12:00 p.m. on Sunday to investigate.
Police say 78-year-old Robert Westall's death is being investigated as a homicide.
An autopsy will be performed.
Illinois State Police, the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and the Lawrence County Coroner are also working on the investigation.
