Carmi company set to introduce new video gaming sites | News
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS (WFIE)- A Carmi company is set to introduce new video gaming sites throughout Southern Illinois.
"I went up to West Virginia, saw the concept up there. They've had legalized gaming for 20 years. So, that's where we got the idea, and implemented it in Southern Illinois. Going to give it a shot and see how it comes," Williams said.
The money made off of the video gaming machines benefits the owners and the government.
The state government collects a quarter of the profits for each gaming terminal and the local government, who issues a liquor license, gets five percent.
