White County fugitive captured in Tennessee | News
A White County fugitive was picked up by federal marshals in Tennessee this week and will be making his way back to Illinois.
Authorities say 41-year-old Harley Lewallen Jr. was sentenced to four years in prison on drug-related charges. He was supposed to show up in June to begin serving that sentence after receiving a furlough but never showed up.
The White County Sheriff’s Office says Lewallen picked up 36-year-old Stephanie Parker from a community service job and the two then took off for Tennessee.
Parker was taken into custody last month but authorities had a more difficult time finding Lewallen. According to a report from WRUL Radio, he escaped into a wooded area once before officers received a tip on his location and arrested him.
