Colorado man dies, passenger hurt in I-64 accident | News
A Colorado man was killed early Monday morning when his car went off the road just west of the Fairfield exit in Wayne County.
Illinois State Police say Jessy Lee Bradley, 32, of Aurora, CO, was in a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker, heading westbound on Interstate 64 about 12:30 a.m., when for unknown reasons he drove off the roadway and into the north ditch. The vehicle rolled over multiple times, ejecting Bradley and one of the passengers, Stephen D. Carsten.
Bradley died at the scene. Carsten was transported from the crash scene by the Wayne City Ambulance Service to St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash. The second passenger, Christopher Edwin Bruce Zelney, refused medical treatment at the crash scene.
