Board election, auction on tap at White Co. Farm Bureau annual meeting | Events

The 92nd Annual Meeting of the White County Farm Bureau will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Farm Bureau Building, 304 E Robinson St. in Carmi.

The usiness meeting will include reports from the President and the Manager, financial and membership reports for fiscal year ending September 30, 2012, approval of the acts and deeds of the Board of Directors, authorization for the selection of delegates to the 2013 IAA Annual Meeting, election of officers and directors, and discussion of any other business properly brought before the membership.

Officer positions on the Board of Directors up for election are Don Duvall (President), Larry Beck (Vice President), and Kevin Seifried (Secretary-Treasurer). 

Director positions that are up for election are:   Director Brooks York (Burnt Prairie Township), Director Richard Gates (Carmi Township), Director Bob Baumgart (Emma Township), Director Bryan Williams (Enfield Township), and Director Jeff Young (Gray Township).  

The 2013 Nominating Committee members are Rusty Walsh (chairman), Richard Curd, and Kevin McArthy.    Voting members in good standing as of January 1 are eligible to vote.  Members must cast their ballot in person at the annual meeting.

The business meeting will conclude with lunch catered by Yesterday’s Catering.

A silent auction benefiting the White County Ag in the Classroom program will occur during the meeting.  Members are encouraged to support the White County Ag in the Classroom effort by donating an item for the auction and by bidding on items during the meeting.
