Halloween event at old animal shelter will help new one | Events
The former home of the Wabash County Animal Shelter will transform into a "Halloween Haunted Shelter" as a fund-raiser by the Wabash County Animal Buddies in support of the county's new shelter.
Plans by volunteers have been approved by the city council and the haunted shelter will be open next Friday and Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.
The project was approved unanimously as long as the county has no liability.
The event will take place at the old shelter, which is right next to the new facility at 11336 N. 1550 Blvd.
The cost will be $5 per person, and children are welcome. All proceeds will go back into the shelter for food, supplies, vet care and other essentials.
