Eldorado husband charged in plot to kill wife | Crime

An Eldorado man is facing charges that he tried to hire someone to kill his wife, something his daughter says was "a total shock".

Roger Young and his wife Linda have been married for nearly 40 years.

Authorities say they have evidence Young attempted to pay someone over $5,000 to kill Linda, his wife of nearly 40 years.

The couple had some disagreements and Roger Young had filed for divorce last year.  However, they got back together shortly afterward. 

Young was arrested Saturday.  Daughter Casey Carlisle told the Southern Illinoisan that she tried to visit her father but was  denied visitation rights.  .
