Mt. Carmel buying playground equipment for handicapped kids | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Mt. Carmel will be getting some new playground equipment designed for use by handicapped children. According to the Mt. Carmel Register, the city council has approved the plan that was proposed by Commissioner Joe Judge who also encouraged community support.
In a fairly short period of time about $13,000 was raised for the specially designed playground equipment which will be installed this spring.
Judge said buying the equipment at a time when budgets are tight was made easier by the outpouring of support across the city and that it was eventually all paid for with donated money.
