The 11th annual charity auction and donation drive held at Illinois State Police District 19 headquarters last week raised more than $4,500 for underprivileged children during the holiday season.

Retired District 19 Troopers and current staff, along with local businesses and vendors, donated the various items that were auctioned off.  As a result of the auction, District 19 will be able to make a $650.00 donation to charitable organizations already identified in each of the seven counties it serves.

“If it was not for the continued generosity of those involved, these monetary donations would not have been possible,” said District 19 Captain Morrie Fraser.   “If your organization works with underprivileged children and would like to be considered for future donations, please contact Sergeant Mark Zimmerman at 618-382-4606.”
