Country singer Joe Diffie headlines Carmi Corn Days

Country star Joe Diffie is coming to Carmi this fall. 

Diffie will give a free concert on the downtown stage of the annual Corn Days celebration Saturday, Oct. 13.

Diffie's 1990 album, "Home" included 12 number one hits, 20 that reached the top 10 and four gold and platinum albums. 

His hits included "Ships That Don't Come In," "Pickup Man," "John Deere Green," "If The Devil Danced" and "Prop Me Up By The Jukebox When I Die."

Diffie is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and is scheduled to appear there on August 17 inside a big summer and fall touring schedule in conjunction with his current Homecoming album.
